Good news first, after switching to low carb wet food and giving a low dose of insulin, my baby went into remission in only 4 months! Praise the Lord!
However, she is quite picky about food. She also seems to puke more on wet- this could be 'scarf & barf', not sure. I try to feed her small amounts as best I can.
I'm wondering if Dr Elseys dry food is ok enough to give her as one of her meals everyday? From what i've read, it seems to be pretty good and low carb.
I've looked for other foods b/c the main foods she likes come with other possible concerns- mercury and phosphorous levels- because she loves Fussie Cat tuna and will 'tolerate' the chunky turkey/chicken from Fancy Feast. But can't find others (good for her) that she'll eat.... so that's why I was hoping it would be ok to feed her a decent amount of Dr Elseys. ??

Found this question asked on the Chewy site for the wet food chicken pate
What are the phosphorous, protein, fat, and carb percentages by dry matter basis?
Answer by • Jun 10, 2022
This formula has a phosphorus content of 0.97% on a dry matter basis and 0.25% on an as-fed basis. A protein content of 46.96% on a dry matter basis and 12.1% on an as-fed basis. A fat content of 32.99% on a dry matter basis and 8.5% on an as-fed basis. A carbohydrate content of 10.96% on a dry matter basis and 2.82% on an as-fed basis.

As Fed Carb % (as per Dr. Pierson) is what we use

The dry Dr Esleys chicken flavor is about 5 or 6 % carbs

Have you looked at our food chart for other low carb wet foods
