I looked at the food chart but am a little confused as it says up top that they are not necessarily recommended. I started Kazi on the Special Kitty- mixed grill and she seems to like it. Is this a good choice?

Info pulled from chart: Mixed Grill 39 56 4 0.5 319 167 1/06

The numbers look good, but you also have to check the ingredients on the label.

Meat By-Products, Water Sufficient Enough For Processing, Poultry By-Products, Liver, Chicken, Fish, Hydrolyzed Yeast, Steamed Bone Meal, Guar Gum, Potassium Chloride, Titanium Dioxide, Caramel Color, Carrageenan, Salt, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin ...

The only thing that concerns me is the main ingredients are by-products and not muscle meat. Its like giving your kitty mostly intestines, stomach, and bone pieces, rather than mostly muscle meat. My preference is to have the order reversed - muscle meat first, followed by by-products. All in all though, it doesn't look to bad.

we are feeding mocha special kitty turkey and giblets. She was on Fancy feast turkey and giblets, but with the new label changes she won't eat it anymore. I don't think special kitty is the best food out there, but she turns her nose up at the higher priced brands as well.
