Hi, I'm new here. I have two 8 year old cats, one of which has been recently diagnosed with diabetes.
My non-diabetic cat has a sensitive stomach (possibly IBD), and a long history of vomiting and not tolerating foods. I finally found a combination that worked well for him and stopped the vomiting. The combo was Organix Healthy Cat (dry), and 1/2 can Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken or Turkey.
When my other cat was diagnosed w/ diabetes, I began feeding him Purina DM per vet's recommendation. I did my best to keep him away from the other cat's food, and feed them in separate rooms, but it didn't work. My cats won't eat unless they eat together.
Buying Purina for one cat was already stretching the budget...to buy it for two cats is way above my means...
I switched to Fancy Feast Classic Chicken Feast (thanks for the recommendation- read through posts on the forum), and my diabetic cat seems to be doing well on it. Unfortunately, my other non-diabetic cat is not tolerating it and is vomiting again. I'm at a loss of what to do. Any suggestions for me? Thanks!!
