I should also tell you...Toby is eating Petsmart's brand of wet cat food only. He is 5 years old and has had diabetes for a year now. I haven't had access to the internet so I had been reporting #'s to a case worker. The case worker is no longer working so I've been directed here. I now have access to the internet so you will hear from menow.
Toby is on Lantus. 1.5ml AM and PM He hasn't been on any other medications.
He is a big baby and very loving! He's been such a good boy with the testing and shots. I was hoping he would go into remission but that seems unlikely now. But it's ok, I'm just glad I have him.
Sorry for the long post!
Let me know if you have any questions. I really look forward to getting to know everyone.
Have a great day!
That is by far not a long post...lol I can literally write small novels on here..lol And never ever apology for a long post, the more info the better. I take it that Toby is a DCIN kitty? Since you mentioned a case worker. I have 2 kitties with me now that I adopted from DCIN so know them well. Autumn and Maxwell (OTJ) are both DCIN adoptees and my Cassanova (OTJ) was an owner surrender that I was going to ask DCIN to help place until I fell in love with him...lol
Also never give up hope for that OTJ party. Never thought Autumn would remotely come close and right now she is giving me fits because I think she wants off too but might have a couple of health problems that is holding it up. Autumn's been with me about 2 1/2 years and she was diabetic at least a year before I adopted her. There was even a kitty here on the board that went into remission after I think like 5-6 years of being diabetic. So you just never know, but even if it doesn't they are still happy loving kitties just a little extra sweet.
