Flynn had an ultrasound done on 6/24 and his results came back today. There was a very high amount of white blood cells in his samples, indicating either IBD or Intestinal Lymphoma. That in top of a potential Cushings Disease diagnosis and uncontrolled diabetes has resulted in my husband and I to make the decision to let him go. There is just too much trial and error with further testing and no guaranteed answers or solutions. His life consists of him napping by his food bowl waiting for his next meal. He hasn’t played or exercised in months. He hardly purrs anymore. He is clearly unhappy and uncomfortable, so we are giving up for him. We have an appointment scheduled for a vet to come to our home tomorrow morning where he can pass peacefully in our arms and in the comfort of his home.
I just wanted to say thank you for the advice I did get while I was briefly a part of this group. I am so so heartbroken that this is what is has come to. This is awful and I hate it. I just hope he knows how loved he is. Again, thank you.
