It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I'm posting today. This morning I sent my beautiful little man home. Simba was born in 1995 and diagnosed with diabetes in 2004. Simba also suffered from asthma, hyper-thyroidism and FLUTD. Simba only hypo'd once in all that time and thanks to this board and the people on it, he was able to live another 6 years with daily testing. He lived a happy, comfortable life. Over the past few months he had been failing as his kidneys were beginning to go and this morning I made the painful decision to let him go. He feel asleep peacefully while I stroked his face and told him how much I loved him.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone on this board who helped me over the years.

My most heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your dear Simba. He had all those extra years because of you and your care of him and we all know how deep the bond becomes taking care of these kitties. So thankful you were there loving on him as he passed and my heart goes out to you.
