Florastor Pre

Hi everyone! My civie Beni has diarrhea and I’d like to use Florastor however, I can only find FlorastorPre. It includes fiber in the form of chicory root. I know chicory root is safe for cats but I’m wondering if the extra fiber will help or make things worse. Anyone have any experience with the Pre version?

I’ve never used the Florastor pre, so I’m not sure, but when my cat had diarrhea I used regular Florastor and added pumpkin because I was told the fiber in it would help bulk up the stool. it Worked, but I don’t know if it was because of the added fiber or in spite of it. Not much help, but it bumps up your post!

Well after 24 hours his poop is still melted chocolatey soft but he seems more calm and content. He’s not running to the litter box over and over. I’m sure it’ll take a few days or longer but so far the subtle signs are good.
