Fish Oil?

Does anyone use Fish Oil as a supplement for their kitties? My vet has recommended it for possible aiding of kidney function and arthritis.

Will if effect the bgs?

I don't see why it would affect BG's, and fish oil or salmon oil is routinely in homemade cat food recipes, many of which are probably used by people on this board. I think the only 'downside' I've heard of for using it is a possible allergy--some cats are allergic to fish.

I use fish oil in Willie's food. I've done a ton of digging and there really isn't any concrete info out there for appropriate doses, etc. To prevent allergy issues, I"d recommend using a high quality oil that has been molecularly distilled so as to remove contaminants, and also look for a product from a company that sources it's fish from anywhere other than China.
