So I took Kitty's BG tonight and it was 372 - which is quite a bit higher than it has been (250 or below for the few days I've been testing) and prepared to give her the first shot. Pulled the vial from the fridge and looked at it - cloudy. Checked the expiration date: 9/2018. Grr, not happy with my vet at the moment. Will be getting a new vial tomorrow.

ProZinc is supposed to be cloudy... As long as there's nothing floating in it, it's fine. You roll it gently and it's a milky white.

By the way, I see in your signature that 2 units was prescribed. The normal starting dose is 1 unit twice a day.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll be heading to the vet later this morning to request new bottle. I paid $180 for the Prozinc and first sharps kit with syringes. The price on Chewy definitely sounds a lot better!

Tested this morning and she's back down to 258, so I'll be interested to see how she tests tonight. There's no way I'm giving her 2 units, will be starting low - the ProZinc thread is really helpful.
