Hello! I am so excited that I'm learning how to monitor mr Higgins blood sugar at my home so we get on our way to a healthier and happier Mr Higgins!

Here's what today looked like:
9:45am fasted 27.4
And then given 4 insulin units of caninsulin

11:45 21.9

2:15 18

4:00 23

6:00 25.9

7:45 23.9

9:45 28.9

He's currently on d/m wet Food. I was told his lowest level should be between 6-11 but he doesn't seem near this number. What do these numbers show?

That's all going to depend on a few things that everyone giving feedback will want to know and may not have memorized from your prior posts ... so...
could you add a few tidbits to your signature? It will help us give you feedback you'd like.

Editing your Signature

In the upper right corner of the screen, within the dark blue bar, you will see ID, Inbox, and Alerts

Click on your ID.

On the left, under Settings, Click on Signature.
This is where you will put information that helps us give you feedback. You are limited to 2hard returns, so separate pieces by | or -.
This is where you paste the link for your spreadsheet, once it is set up.
Add any other text, such as your name | cat's name | date of Dx (diagnosis) | insulin | meter general location (city and state/province) any other pertinent issues like if there are any food issues, history of DKA, hepatic lipidosis, pancreatitis, allergies, IBD, etc.

Click the Save Changes button at the bottom.

Always click the Save Changes button at the bottom when you have changed anything.

So far, he isn't regulated, nor even close. It could be that his insulin is too low OR too high. Yeah, diabetes can be weird that way.

You're still early in the dance, and it is a process of getting control. Having patience will make it less stressful - you make small changes, test and record, and look for patterns in how he is responding that give clues on what needs to happen to get better control.

To me it looks like a typical Caninsulin/Vetsulin curve. The insulin is working. It peaks (lowest reading) is at about 5 hours.
I wold increase the dose if y have been on 4 units for 3 days or more,
