? First shot in over two years

We stared Lantus tonight after Blitzen being in remission for over two years. Just tested and he's at 292.
The vet ordered 2u but I gave 1u as 2u makes me a little nervous. I will get s up in the next few days.
Was 1u a good decision?

Yes! Good decision. I hope it will be a short stay in L&LL and Blitzen will be back at The Falls in no time.

Hello again - since Blitzen wasn't on insulin very long last time, I too would go conservative on the first dose. Paws crossed it's a really short stay again this time.
