Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the wonderful advice you've all given. The curve went really well, we were able to get blood out of Rodney's ear no problems. =)
The numbers seem good to me, but I've sent them off to the vet. She had us stop giving him insulin for a week, because of his numbers, and then do the curve. She thinks he might be in remission, witch is a huge shock to me.
These were his numbers, with no insulin:
12:15PM: 4.9 - before eating
2:15PM: 4.6
4:15PM: 4.6
6:15PM: 4.2
8:14PM: 5.1
10:20PM: 5.2
12:00AM: 4.6
12:20AM: 4.5 - after eating
But he seems to really tolerate being poked now (giving treats really helped!) and he bleeds much easier.
