She's definitely a scarfer right now, especially on the wet food. She thinks she's living the high life with her fancy feast.
@BJM She's a scarfer. But this is the first time since her switch to wet that she's vomited. Wet food was always kind of a toss-up for her if she would keep it down or not. But yesterday (1/10) morning is the first time since the switch to wet that she's vomited at all. Then last night (1/10) she was suuuuuuper slow to eat her food. I basically fed it to her off a fork to get her to touch it. Now this AM she's back to happily munching...

Her numbers are pretty low again today - 131. I want to give juice for consistency, but shooting when she's in blues scares me right now.

My Badger sometimes does the same. It is reduced by dividing the canned into three portions and feeding them individually about 5 - 10 minutes apart

Do you think you'll be able to split that .25u in half? Tonight, she'll probably be higher again for being without insulin since last night. Instead of giving her .25u, try getting as close to half that as possible (practice pulling the dose with some water first) and see how her numbers are in the morning.

@KPassa thanks for checking in :) Testing has gotten easier, I think. She doesn't struggle as much and I'm even hitting the right part of the ear sometimes now! I no longer have to start "testing time" 20-30 mins before meal time because we are getting it done much faster now. I hope she keeps up this behavior. My best friend, who was actually Trixie's last owner, helped me test her on Saturday. She was surprised and pleased to see that after the test Trixie doesn't hate me and still comes up and rubs on me and purrs. I feel better too -- I know she isn't holding a grudge at least!!

I've been doing the teeny insulin amount in an attempt to be able to comfortably give 2 injections without skipping one. I've been trying to put the plunger at the bottom (not top) of the "0" line. I push the plunger all the way to the end, put it in the bottle, then pull back to measure. I was struggling to get 0.25 U right, so that's the best "marker" I can try and be consistent with. I can practice some more filling with water, but how do you know your amount was consistent time to time? Also the frickin air bubble...

Last night I actually got a test in at +2.5 but her BG was actually a little higher than before. Of course the first time I've been able to get a +2.5 test in and it's high, lol. I don't think it was a fur shot situation and I was pretty sure there was insulin in the syringe...

Also, I've decided that the two times she vomited were just normal, cat barf situations. No other weird behavior or vomiting since then.

Have we mentioned drop dosing to you yet? BJM has a good explanation somewhere. I'll see if I can find it and post it here for you.

Here is that explanation. I did a search for 'drop dosing' by member BJM and found this great explanation.

You might want to do drop dosing.
Use a colored liquid to practice as it will help you see.
Pull up 1 unit.
Carefully squeeze out equal-sized drops, until you can do so with consistent size and the same number per unit.
Now, you can draw up more than the amount you need, and squeeze out drops to the dose you want.
You discharge the excess into the sink.
