Two weeks and a day without Insulin! It's going to feel weird now, not having to test Grady's blood twice a day. But I'm sure it's a relief for him, not getting his tender ears stabbed all the time, although I have to say he really never put up much of a fuss when it came to testing time. The only thing I have to struggle with now is finding food. He used to be a big Merrick eater, but now that most of the old recipe are gone from the shelves, the challenge has increased in difficulty.

The real test will be this Saturday when we visit the vet and have blood and urine taken. I seldom come away from the vet's with good news, so we'll see.

Thanks to everyone on the Boards who helped guide us through this difficult learning curve.

I am so happy (and a little jealous!). I have been watching your progress and its nice to see. If you ever want to pay it forward, its always nice to pop on here - even to just give support and encouragement for other newbies

Be very very careful on food changes - if in doubt - don't feed it . I fed a 13% carb food to Tiggy without knowing and messed up his remission permanently...

party_cat Congratulations! You did a great job on managing his diabetes into remission! :RAHCAT
