And it's not over yet. Dunno who this is harder on. Him or me doing it.. Ugh. Every two hours so far. Pulled his right of the SS. And I am in the middle of packing up the house to move so finding him among the flotsom is another challenge as the day wears on. . . :^)

It definitely gets easier over time. :bighug::bighug: My boys come running now when they think it's time for their test and their shot... but it took a while to to get them there.

Looking at Simba's numbers today, he might not be on Insulin for too long. That's definitely quite the drop and the 553 this morning might have been the bounce after a low last night. I would consider reducing his dose to keep him safe, esp. if you can't get up to test throughout the night.

** I sure hope this is short lived being on the insulin. He just shot a 79 two hours after that 75 - possibly was the Nadir. 1 more to go/PM pre dinner - we shall see.

TR is Tight Regulation....it's a protocol for dosing that's been published in a veterinary journal.

SLGS is Start Low, Go Slow.. a different dosing method that was developed by the people here.

They are explained further in the Sticky's at the top of the forum

Thanks Chris,
Then I would have to say SLGS...

OK...if you're doing SLGS, he earned a reduction today by dropping below 90.

His dose should now be .75 and you'd hold that dose for 7 days and then do another full curve (but you still should test at Pre-shot and if possible, get a mid-cycle on the AM and a "before bed" on the PM)

You should also add SLGS to your signature.

If you decide to change to TR later on you can so you're not locked into doing SLGS forever if you don't want to
