Oliver's spreadsheet is off to a good start. Please maintain it. That is helpful to you and us when there are issues. I would recommend PMPS + 4 testing since you are probably not home during the day. That way you can measure some effectiveness of the dose.

Another thing is to monitor food intake. If you dose, and Oliver does not eat, then issues such as a hypo can occur. That is because there is no food-supplied glucose. The body scavenges other glucose repositories...causing BG to go low.

We are very familiar with the food snatching from doglets. If we even leave the room for a moment they are like starving hawks, gobbling whatever they can get. Believe me, there are no hungry animals in our house. I don't know why our dogs are so gluttinous.

Thanks!! Oliver is a good eater. We really havent had to worry about that thankfully. I wait until he either finishes or almost finishes his 1/2 can before giving his dose, then we leave out the other half for him to graze or gobble up until dinner time. On weekends we wait to give snack, but we can't do that during the week. So far it seems to work although you would think he is starving to death from 5-6 while he is waiting for his dinner.
