I bought a relion micro today and just did my first stick! What a good boy he was! didnt get any blood on first two sticks but got a teeny tiny drop on the third and got the reading!!unfortuneately reading was 529, someone last nite advised i drop the prozinc fron 2u to 1u bid since I am feeding ff classic pates and i did that stsrting this morning. however, simba has been eating very little so i have had to mix some of the pate with his fav gravy varieties, heat it as someone suggested, put treats in it, whatever it takes to get him to eat. if i get a high reading again in the morning i may increase to 1.5u. Any thoughts?

Did you test before or after feeding? If after, that could explain the high number. We recommend that you test, feed, then shoot.

thanks! i really thought it was going to be difficult but Simba was so good! Yes he did eat a few bites 2 or 3 times since 5pm when i got home whichis why i am not too worried. i have free fed him all his life and hes soo skinny now i want him to eat! this obviously is a process and he is newly diagnosed, 1 day at a time.

I'm just glad he's doing OK; continuing to dose based on pre-food change numbers was a disaster waiting to happen.
