My civvie has what looks like an open, draining wound on his neck. Does anyone know what I can put on it until I can get him to the vet, and where I can get it? Will the stuff we put on our cuts be ok?
You can pack it with sugar and wrap it.
The sugar forms a highly intense concentration that helps dry the wound and inhibit bacteria.
If you had honey, preferably manuka honey, that could be used too.
