Finicky food issue

Does anyone else have the finicky problem with only the diabetic cat?? Mine will eat a flavor, devour it, then won't eat it again to finish the can. Or one day love it, then next 4-5 days nope. Its frustrating. I try not to let food sit more than few hours but I also hate waste.
He wants crunch though. Anyone find a kind of dry that can at least be used for enticing to eat the canned??
Oddly, he doesn't devour the Fortiflora sprinkle on food anymore.
Do diabetics have issue with smell senses?

I have to smile as I am looking at my cabinets stocked with cat food!!
Mine were always fussy-and do the same thing --eat it one day and snub it the next.... love the fori flora then hate it-
Mine like stella and chewys freeze dried raw--it is not crunchy but it is not wet (you can add water but mine will not eat it that way)
They also like the dog stella and chewys as well as natures variety freeze dried raws (lots of flavors we rotate) primal too
I am always looking for new stuff--
If you are not doing tight regulation there are some low carb dry food like young again 0 carb-
My non FD kitty eats it.

I have four cats and they all have their own dietary needs; it's almost impossible to find a food that they all can/will eat that is within my budget! And yes, one day they absolutely love one food, the next day they back away from it like it came to them straight from hell, lol!
