Coco’s visit went surprisingly well! With today’s glucose curve numbers [dose 1 unit Novolin; +1=77; +5=112; +8=117] Mr. Vet feels her body is processing correctly. Since it was stable and there was no discernible curve, his recommendation is to stop insulin today. He’s pleased with the change in food and is NOT opposed to home monitoring!
To help make the case for home monitoring, it took three staff to get the last blood draw and the whole waiting room heard Coco’s displeasure.
Monitoring will no doubt present it’s own issues, but today I am thrilled!
