Fern was at 221 this morning so I gave 2u which I have given several times with that AMPS. I'm glad I decided to do a curve today. I haven't gotten what I had expected, and it's a good surprise.

+5 78
+6 113 so going back up but still a good.

I will be testing hourly to make sure we stay safe. We have been energetic this am as well.

Well, we bounced a tad, +10 426, +11.5 443. I think 3u is now too high for him based on his only getting to 221 this morning so I broke out the u100s and gave 2.8u which will be my new highest shot number. The needle was shorter than I'm use to but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a fur shot. Fern was really active this morning when he was sub 200 so it was good. He took a nap when he bounced back up.

I also bought my dad a Akray Gluco1 or whatever it is called. (the walmart confrim not from walmart). With the way work has been going I don't want to have to have him 1) have to recode the Alphatrac because of a new strip vial and 2) this should give me a bit more consistent numbers. I'll still mainly use my Meijer one because I have 1000 strips due to a huge sale but it does take double the blood and I want to make things as easy as possible for the substitute bean. I did save the old vial and I will make it a training tool for the sub so that he learns how to draw up the insulin which I know is better than me leaving pre-filled syringes.
 
What nice numbers Fern gave! Sure a bounce happened, but the point is...you got some nice numbers!
