It had been hot and Ferg had not eaten so I set out kibble. I know it is wrong but he was 36. I picked it up this morning and he ate a lil wet with his pills. He ate a bit more after and I left some more wet for today. I think he went to the basement to chill. I could not find him before I left. He hides sometimes. I am sure he is ok.

So the 94 was the kibble... I hope.

No vet today. Had to reschedule.

Don't worry. Many kitties even venture into the 100s on a trial. It's okay. Normally we'd tell you to test again at +3 to see if he comes down. Since you aren't home to do that, no worries. Just remember, if it happens again and you are able to do so, test at about +3(or at least an hour after he's eaten) - if he comes down the pancreas is working and all is good.

The kibble was probably not the best choice, but it's water under the bridge now. If he wouldn't eat anything else, it's definitely okay to give kibble, because he HAS to eat something every day or you'll run into bigger problems than a failed trial. I would keep it as a last resort, though. It does take longer for the effects of dry food to wear off, so there could be some influence still going on from that. Let's see where he is tonight.

Meanwhile,

George ventured into the blues when he was on his trial, try not to worry.
Hope the little guy is feeling better later on.
I sometimes put ice cubes in Georges water fountain when it get's very hot, don't know if it helps, but he seems to like it.
