What is the name of the test for feline pancreatitis . It is not amylase & lypase. I am taking my cat to the doctor tomorrow and I want to make sure it is the correct test for pancreatitis.

My cat hasn't had it but I was told there are two options: IDEXX Snap or Spec fPL test for feline pancreatitis.

If your vet has an Idexx Catalyst One In-House Analyzer, they can add a separate pancreatic lipase test and run it in house. It gives you a number, not just a yes/no like the old SNAP fPL they did in-house in the past. For the Spec fPL, they would need to send the blood out for analysis so you’d have to wait for the results.
More detail in here: A Primer on Pancreatitis. Note that the vet may want him to be fasted for 6 hours prior. Which is why I scheduled blood draws for late afternoon before PMPS.
