Hi,
I have more questions.
How soon should I see a difference in Michael? For example, Drinking less and urinating less. The vet raised his insulin from 1unit 2xday to 1 1/2 units 2x day. Today Friday, 6/6/14 was the first day. I'm still working on hometesting and I'm getting better at it. I will post on the ss as soon as I get more numbers and figure out how to use the s.s. What does +1, +2 ect. mean?
What is a bounce? What is the naidar? What is amps and pmps?

Amps is the morning blood glucose number before food and shot
Pmps is the evening number
#1 is the number one hour after the shot, #2 is the number 2 hours after, etc.

Nadir is the lowest number in the cycle, usually 5-7 hours after the shot.

A bounce is when the body senses a number that is lower than it is used to and so it releases extra glucose to combat the low level. Since there is extra sugar in the blood, the number is bounced up higher than it normally would be.

Glad you are setting up a spreadsheet. Be sure to also put the kind of insulin you are using in your signature so we can give good advice.

Thanks for the info,I am using Lantus insulin. Can't get the ss to work. Won't let me put in any numbers.

Hey Paula, Sue is one of the spreadsheet guru's around here

fwiw Sue, I helped her set it up this past weekend when I was over there. We went thru the instructions in the tech forum. We were able to enter numbers then just to play around. Maybe she just needs to sign back in?
