Hi!

We are returning with our kitty Cosmo after having a diabetic cat 8 yrs ago that went into remission for the rest of his life.

We will be doing TR once we refill his reservoir. Tonight was first test.

I can't quite remember the food protocol. Ie. No food 2hrs before AMPS/PMPS, then shoot, then feed right after the shot?

Is that right? Cosmo is a grazer, but I know it's important to feed at a certain time around the shot.

Advice welcome

If you are using Lantus, then it is quite quickly:
1. test to make sure the number is high enough to shoot then
2. feed to make sure Cosmo will eat enough and
3. shoot (while his head is in the bowl if you want).

Lantus does not kick in right away. Once you've shot, you've got a bit of leeway to convince Cosmo to eat more.

Yes to no food 2 hours (+10) prior.

Sorry you are back but glad to see you.
