Greetings from Qatar. Now that Snafu is one month OTJ do I still need to keep to a feeding schedule of 12 hours apart ? When he was on insulin I fed him at 8 & 8, but prior to that he had breakfast at 6.30 and dinner at 4pm. (I swear he can tell the time as he appears at this time).
He is fed wet food (thats what saved him in my opinion) Friskies Pate or Fancy feast (subject to availability )
However from 4pm onwards he is asking and looking for food. Although he would eat like a dog if he had the chance.
His numbers are all fine and I check him once a week, which he still hates - even more that when we were in the grip of the Diabetes... Im trying to not overfeed him but I know he is hungry. I have just ordered Pure bites from Amazon USA so that he can have the odd healthy snack after testing.
Many thanks -

No you don't need to only feed him at the 12 hour mark. Even if he was still getting insulin, you could feed him more often than that. The only thing is you want to take any food away two hours before testing so your test isn't influenced by food. Congrats on being OTJ!
