My Cat Luna is 16+. She was dx last January and was on insulin for four months and has been off insulin since April. I have been feeding her Fancy Feast Classic and she has been fine but lately her numbers are starting to creep up. She also has hyperthroid. I was under the impression from Binky's list that Fancy feast Classic is low carb and ok to feed but the new list has eliminated Fancy Feast Classic completely and now I am really confused. The cat will not eat most of the other foods on the list. Thanks

Fancy Feast is fine for diabetic cats to eat  Binky's food charts are still being used.

There is a newer chart that lists many of the higher end brands that are not on Binky's charts.

The "classics" are still listed on binky's "old food chart". For whatever reason, when the new chart was made, the only FF varieties listed were the "elegant medleys", I'm guessing because that was the only "new" FF to list. But the old charts are still good to use. I don't think the word "classic" is on the chart, but the flavors all are. Print out both lists, and like a lot of people here, walk through the store with them. You'll always recognize a sugarcat bean in the store.....we are "the crazy people with the list spending hours in the cat food aisle" Most available foods are on one list or the other, and not on both.

thanks so much for the quick responses. I am convinced now that Luna's problem is more HyperT than the diabetes. I will have to be more vigiliant about her thyroid meds and hopefully she will feel better. At the moment she is really not eating or drinking much but hopefully that will change
