I feed pate fancy feast and pate Friskies, but stopped friskies due to my cat’s and even my dog getting very sick from eating it. I went to consumer report.com And there were hundreds of other people having the same issue. What we were experience was very bad diarrhea, so might be bloody diarrhea and throwing up some of them have gotten so bad that they died. I don’t know if they ever put a recall out on the food I did see something about checking the lock number of your food and returning it back to the store anyway so I had stopped feeding Friskies during this time and used all the fancy face which you know only cars and 3 ounce cans and I feed two cat’s ( plus my small dog, but he gets dog food. )

My question........ anyone else’s cat have GAS now? My diabetic Farts all the time now! He has never did this before ! Anyone know or noticed anything else about FF? I don’t know if it’s the food , but my babies BG just all over now. Good for a few cycles, even to low to shot for a cycle and then BAM! HIGH BG numbers ( 400-500 )

He was in remission for almost 2 years, he was DX in 10/15 ...followed the WONDERFUL advice and had him into remission in 12/15.Then almost 2 Two years later I noticed that is the most swollen and his face was swelling and took a him in and they said that they thought he had an infected tooth but of course he would let them look at it so we have to knock them out and go head and take care of whatever it is. Put him on medication and it worked because I could tell by the smell of his breath that the infection was gone and his BG numbers were back to normal. Whenever he is having a flareup infection with the tooth is BG numbers go up and of course I can tell by the smell. I had him scheduled for a full day at all put him on medication and it worked because I could tell by the smell of his breath that the infection was gone and his BG numbers were back to normal. Whenever he is having a flareup infection with the tooth is BG numbers go up and of course I can tell by the smell. I had him scheduled for a full day and we had a blizzard so it had to be postponed and when it was time to redo it the Attitude of his staff was different and it just ended up not working out so I got all of my money back. He is now with a different vets who can do and pull a tooth if it needs , and can do the dental, cleaning.( just doesn’t have the start of the art equipment ) But she with his age ( he is 13 ) and be a diabetic that she wants to do Pulse therapy with him, do y’all know what that is?
I mentioned a lot of please try and touch on as many questions as possible.Or ask me any and all questions you have

Thank you so so much!!

Is it an option for you to see a dental specialist? That is what I would do. There may be teeth that need to be extracted. Being diabetic and/or 13 is no reason to avoid proper dental care. By 'pulse therapy', she may mean giving antibiotics for a few days each month... long enough to try and keep the infection at bay but not constantly so that he builds up a resistance. I do not know a lot about it, but what I read was that it should not be used as a substitute for proper dental care.

By the way, my Willow had dental cleaning and extractions at 15, and Mia (who is diabetic) had the same at about 10 1/2. Both were done by a dental specialist in a specialty clinic. Those types of clinics usually have not only better equipment but also better procedures for anesthesia and monitoring. It costs more, but if it is an option for you, I recommend it.

Food manufacturer constantly change formulas. Purina is at it again with all their lines. Maybe try different flavors and see if that helps. I would try to get dental done if possible (I'm working on getting Olive's looked at) bad teeth can cause so many problems, not only with diabetes but the heart also.
