Fancy Feast Classic 3oz can Question

I am feeding my cat fancy feast classic 3oz cans. Is there an appropriate amount I should be feeding her, she is about 17 lbs. How much or how little should she be getting at her two feedings per day? Thanks so much!

Depends on her activity level. Fancy Feast are generally 100 calories per can. Theoretically your kitty needs 20 calories per pound, so about 340 calories a day. My cat weighs 21.5 pounds and maintains on 3 cans a day/300 calories. If kitty is maintaining, you are feeding enough, if losing I'd add another can.

We are lucky since our kittehs are self regulating. They eat Fancy Feast multiple times per day. Leo is diabetic, but he is only slightly chubby so he can have what he wants.

I agree with Sean on general levels. Maybe you will get lucky and your kitteh will not overeat.
