Ok folks here's another one for ya.
Over the past several months - i'm not sure when it started - before, after diabetes dx or what - but sometimes when mr biddles is relaxed, he'll have little facial twitches or tics. his whiskers, his eyebrows, his ears, and sometimes his whole head will just tic to the side. just a quick little tic, then back. it only happens WHEN HE IS RELAXED, and/or getting into a pre-nap phase. (no i'm not mistaking dreaming movements for this). there have been times where it was more pronounced, and less pronounced, and i don't think i can make a pattern between it and anything.
my former vet referred me to a neurologist an hour away. $200 exam showed all was well. she said the next step would be an mri and spinal tap, but that she could not sway me to do it or not. its just that it would be the next step. the estimate was $2,800 to 3,600 so i figured we could just give that a pass for the time being until i become a millionaire or find a genie lamp. well actually if i find a genie lamp i'd just wish for mr b to be well again. that would be ideal.
when i brought my kittie to my new vet i explained this weird symptom. she told me its a thing associated with diabetes and hyperthyroidism, both of which mr b has. well you can imagine my surprise at hearing this. she said it like it was a no-brainer, like any vet would know it.
but who knows, really. ask 3 vets, get 3 different answers, so here i am asking you all. anyone experience this? i know i have a video somewhere of him doing it, if that helps.
