Extra Lantus

I'm not sure where to post this, but here goes.

My cat Fernando recently passed away, leaving a hole in my heart and a supply of Lantus. I'm at a loss what to do with it. I have an unopened bottle that expires in 2019. I have only called my vets office and they can't take it. Any suggestions on finding someone local to me (Kalamazoo, Mi area) who might want to purchase? Is that even legal?
