I'm happy to say, Whiskey's sinus/respiratory symptoms have cleared up..I guess it WAS a respiratory infection and the amoxicillin took care of it?
The latest thing tho is..he's been grooming himself all the time. He now has a patch where he overgroomed one of his paws. He's also been vomiting a lot the last few days. I'm planning on bringing him back to the vet after I do a glucose curve early next week (it will have been 2 wks on the insulin by then.)
I think the vomiting is probably related to the grooming...it's either liquid he's vomiting up, or looks like hairballs. I brush him regularly, too.
The last time I checked his BG levels was 2 days ago and it was at 335. At least that's down from the 500+ it had been at the vet..I'm wondering if the excessive grooming is the stress of this whole new routine--new food, the blood testing he hates..the insulin shots
