excessive drinking and urinating

Other than diabetes, what can cause a cat to drink and urinate excessively? Thanks :?

HyperThyroid is one condition that I know of that can cause a cat to drink and pee to excess.

kidneys can do that too.

If it's kidney problems (which i think it is) what can be done?
