Is this food considered complete/balanced, or is it for supplemental feeding only? Seems pretty similar to Wysong's 95% version, which is labeled as supplemental feeding only.

It is balanced. Their web site says:

EVO 95% Chicken & Turkey Canned Cat Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for adult maintenance.

It has the usual lilst of added ingredients and also states "is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established be the AAFCOCat Food Nutrient Prfiles for adult maintenance". So it implies that it is okay. In the analysis on the can though, it does not have any stated min for taurine, which they usually do, which I find odd. I would check the website.
I believe that if it is for supplemental feeding, they have to tell you on the can.
Oh I see Taurine listed as an additive, so it is okay.

All the EVO canned are 100% nutrionally complete.

If the ingredient list is very short (like just meat and water) and does not contain vitamins and minerals, then the food is only for supplemental feeding. Merrick Before Grain canned is one. Sheba's Premium Cuts is another but I think those have been discontinued. Fancy Feast Appetiziers are another.

Check here and read the nutritional analysis tab, it contains everything they need and 0.08 % taurine.
Evo is so good even ferrets can eat it LOL

In fact even the canine kibble contains taurine and the small bites are fed to ferrets with IBD as chicken is often the cause of IBD in ferrets, they have 95% meat beef, venison and duck as an alternative. The carbs are almost non existent in the canned evo.

From what I hear the EVO is great food and I would love to have my cats on it but so far what I am finding is that they don't like it very much. If I put any two foods down at the same time they will eat the cheaper food but leave the EVO and unfortunately Harley will just leave it period so he isn't get the food I desperately need him to eat.

Thanks everyone! Of course, I should've looked at the website/ingredient list. Duh. I've been using it, but always mixed with either Wellness or the EVO Kitten and Cat food, just in case. I figured it was okay, but I had a can of the Wysong 95% in my cupboard, and got paranoid. My weasels love it.

It's the artificial flavors that they use!!! Get's the cats to eat "junk food." So, I mix Evo or Wellness with the stuff they really like.

Since I am feeding 8, it stretches the budget a bit as well. I take a large can of Evo and two cans of whatever and mix them up. Double that and I get a feeding for the day. With Wellness, I get the regular cans and do two and two. Sometimes they want more, so I add another can of whatever. Or toss raw medallions to curb their hunger.

My next step is raw. I will be getting a grinder soon. My guys all love raw chicken or turkey, except one. He wants it cooked, but he loves it once I cook it a little. Thanksgiving was interesting. I had a fresh turkey, and they all went nuts.

I think I lucked out in that Wellness was the first (non nasty prescription) canned food I tried, so they all got used to the good stuff. Now I play around adding/mixing other good stuff (EVO, NV Raw, etc.), and they're all great with it. I do stick to chicken and turkey flavors though, so as not to risk tummy issues. Oh, and an occasional turkey/salmon mixed in as a treat. And they love the fatty gray part attached to the skin of wild salmon or arctic char I make for myself. And rotisserie chicken. Spoiled weasels! They've never tried Fancy Feast or Friskies, and they never will, because I totally see them preferring that. ;-)
