I don't think any of us would have chosen differently. The incredible bond and love we share with our kitties is beyond all measure, and we would be the poorer for never having known it. (((((((Hugs)))))))

I have been so wrapped up in my own kitty's illness and crossing that I totally missed your loss, and just learned of it today. I am so very sad to know that Saoirse has crossed the Bridge. You were the most incredible, devoted and loving bean I have ever "met", and I know you did everything possible to keep your baby comfortable and happy through all the trials that came your way. My heart aches for you. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, and I will try to be more like you, unselfishly still helping others here, even as you deal with your overwhelming grief. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I've been off-line for such a long time now, I only learned today of your loss. I am so sorry - your love for Saiorse is beyond measure, and you have always been so kind to everyone here as well. I hope that you can feel my hugs. I have lit a candle (one that has often been annointed with love and hopes for peace) in her honour. Take care.
 
It's more painful to talk about it. I'm surviving by picturing Saoirse with me all day and talking to her all the time.

The Sheba food kept giving her too frequent, pale, malformed, soft poops and she was vomiting quite regularly, was always hungry and was losing weight in spite of getting about 1½ extra pouches per day over what should be enough for her caloric needs. The Noodlebug is negative for pancreatitis (the relief!) and only a mild sensitivity to beef showed up on her food sensitivity blood screen. I had to wait a good while to get the test results back so I've only just managed to switch her over to Felix Poultry in Jelly pouches in the last week. Stools are darker now and she's not as hungry but they're still on the soft side and frequent but her appetite is a bit more normal plus she's not vomiting as much now.

When my soul kitty passed some 20 years ago, I immediately transferred all that love to my other cat- that helped me a great deal

(((((((((((((((mogs))))))))))))))))) from me and Angel and the civvies. I cried when I heard about your precious girl. Of course she's with you and watching over you, love lasts forever and only bodies die, not souls. I know it hurts so much not to see her and touch her, but just keep on believing, talk to her, I still talk to my precious ga's, maybe write her a letter, write about her, create a memory book.

I am just so sorry I wasn't around, I never intended to take such a long break, I found I was burning myself out, reading every post, feeling guilty if I couldn't help every single person, and I ended up being worried that if I came back I'd do the same again. My boyfriend is living with me now and I've told him to keep an eye on me if I am obsessing and on here 24/7, but I've thought of you often and you are one of the people on here I consider a good friend even though we've never met.
