Hi, all!
It seems like Mr. P changed his mind again and is deciding to stay with us for the time being. I don't know what to make of it, not that I'm complaining, it's just hard to make plans when I don't know what he's going to do. So, he had a spike on his glucose last weekend, got a couple of doses of insulin, last time was 2 days ago, and yesterday he was in blue territory all day, and now he's at a green 97 (and that's after eating!). Unfortunately, he's getting boarded next week because of my trip, as I don't have any guarantee that he won't need insulin while i'm gone (although I can almost guarantee that he'll need insulin when boarding) and I have nobody that can come in to the house, check his glucose, give insulin, and monitor. So life is complicated these days, but at least he is looking very good clinically and that does make a big difference. I'm trying to figure out instructions for the vet, as a sliding scale and see what would be safe, so any thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
