I've been very hesitant to make this announcement for fear of jinxing it, but, after exactly one month since his last insulin dose, and glucose readings in the 60s and 70s for the last 2 weeks, I think it's safe to declare that he's officially OTJ!!! It's been a great timing, with other stressors in my life taking up most of my time. I don't know how long his remission will last, being that he's already had one remission that lasted almost 2 years, but for now, I won't worry about that and just celebrate. Thanks, again, to all of you for your support and excellent advice! dancing_cat

We were just wondering where you were and hoping you were OTJ. Congratulations on all your hard work. Hurray!

WOO HOO FOR EUK!!! party_cat party_cat party_cat party_cat

So glad to hear that all the other attention-requiring issues didn't mess with his numbers! Good for you! Hope you've got the p's settled in somewhere and they're comfortable. Not an enviable task by any means. Now that [hopefully] you've got that taken care of... Don't be a stranger!!!

Hopefully this time will be the "forever" honeymoon! Think about just how far he's come in just a few months!!! Congrats to you both!!!

Big Congrats to Euko, HB.
So happy for both you!
Look how much things improved for him in just a matter of months.
Glad there is one less thing to stress you.
Good luck with your parents also.

Thanks to all!

It's been great to see all the partying kitties, much needed sight after a frustrating series of weeks.
Unfortunately, my parents still resist the idea of the move, and my sisters are getting frustrated, and all kinds of old family stuff is getting stirred up. It's very common and very normal for this to happen, but it does have a way of keeping my attention, although I would rather focus it on kitties. I think the next few months will be turbulent while I navigate these waters, hopefully Mr. P will cooperate and keep Euk well controlled.

Thanks to all!

such good news and as the mom of a kitty who was OTJ for 2 years and is now back ON TJ it gives one hope. Congratulations and I hope things calm down in general.
