Morning, everybody!
It looks we are back on track. Yesterday, his highest glucose was 169, and part of that could have been from food. This morning, it is 122, and yesterday when I got home from work it was 114. I haven't given insulin since Wednesday around noon. So, Mr. P is changing his mind and maybe wants to give us another try. Unfortunately, there is bad weather forecasted for this weekend so I don't know if the stress will cause an increase. I hope not, as it should be only for a few hours and he did OK most of the time he was boarded at the vet, and it was on the last day when his glucose spiked. Still, I am not making reservations at remission-land until he's been "unshootable" for at least 2 weeks.
I may not post too frequently if he's doing well unless something changes. I have other pressing matters to attend to, like trying to find a nursing home for my parents, who live out of state and have been refusing to relocate, but now it's harder and harder for dad to take care of mom, so I'm scrambling finding an adequate place, figuring out fun stuff like assets, finances, benefits, etc. and hoping that I can find a good place for them that me and my sisters can afford.
Thanks, as always, for your support, I'll still be around, only a little less so since we seem to be doing OK. Cheers!
