Good morning ~O)

Went to bed last night with my kitty registering a lovely 106.
Woke up this morning 5:00 AM to my kitty registering a still lovely 135, too low to shoot, and that's 18 hours after his 11 dose of 0.1 units yesterday at 11 AM, and after getting a small handful of dry food I have in a panic when he dropped like a rock to the 60s and 70s.

Are we almost there? ARE WE ALMOST THERE????? :-D :RAHCAT

I have to leave around noon for an Easter family lunch, about 40 miles away, these things tend to drag forever, so I'll test again around noon, but no matter how high the reading, I won't give more than 0.1 units (if at all) since I don't expect to be back home until around 6. With any luck, today may be the first no-insulin day. Even if it's not, I'm very pleased with his progress.

You're getting mighty close! What wonderful numbers!

Hope they'll continue to be pleasant surprises for the rest of the day for you!

I think you're close. Yay Euk!!

Try not to panic seeing those 60's and 70's because if he comes OTJ (anti jinx) those are the numbers you want to see all the time.

Thanks for the cheers!
It's now 11:40 AM and he's now at 143, that's over 24 hours since his last insulin dose yesterday at 11:00 AM. So we are practically there, still I want to see where he's at tonite. I wouldn't worry about the 60s or 70s if it wasn't because he had gotten insulin yesterday, I would LOVE to see 60s and 70s without any insulin, but for now, 143 is pretty good!

Got home a little while ago. Glucose reading was 208, pretty good for a 31 hour cycle, but I don't want to let it keep rising, so I shot a very skinny 0.1. I certainly hope he doesn't crash tonight but I think it's reasonable not wanting him to go without insulin in the face of a slowly rising glucose. Let's hope I don't have to put out 911 posts tonight, there's already been too much excitement this weekend!

A skinny .1 should be just the tiny boost he might need, HB. If you get much skinnier, all you should have to do is hold the vial under Euk's nose and tell him to take a snort! Or just take it out of the fridge and let him see it, that might make his pancreas kick in. :-D

Now, THAT'S funny!

Just checked at almost +4, he's down to a comfortable non-scary 161. It seems like I gave the right dose and he won't crash tonight. I hope that the pancreas is fully operational soon...

HB....I hope that Euks pancreas is fully operational soon too.

ProZinc family is ready for another OTJ party.

Re: Eukanubo 4/09

Good morning, beans and beanettes! ~O)

I'm pleased to report that Euk has been in green territory since last night. I got up around midnight, checked a glucose and it was 90. Since it was +6 I figured he had room to drop further so I wasn't worried about hypo, went back to sleep, and woke up to a reading of 86. Amazing what a little drop of insulin can do, question is, how long will it last?

OTJ-land is getting tantalizingly close!

Have a great day, y'all!
