Good morning ~O)

Not a bad day at all yesterday, he had a nice "blue run" midcycle yesterday, the only thing that was off was a higher than expected PMPS of 460, then again, he ate several times that day. I resisted the urge to up the dose, I kept it at 0.8 instead of 1, and he had a nice "yellow run" last night. This morning his AMPS was 354, not perfect but within his usual range. So, once again I resist giving a full unit, giving instead 0.8, and he's now peacefully sleeping. He seems to be responding better and better to the insulin, except for his rebounds. I'd rather he stay in the yellows to prevent rebounds, blues are nice but they seem to cause problems later on.
It seems that Mr. P's been making the rounds all around the neighborhood and has paid us a couple of visits, but he can't be persuaded to stay, I suppose he can't be everywhere at once. :-D
Have a great day!

morning!

It is nice to have peacefully sleeping kitties in the house. Great to get some low color runs- mine all seem to be in the pinks and reds  .

Well, I guess you are not alone. +4 reading was a solidly red 422  aaarrgghh! SCDD strikes again!

Every now and then Grayson will pull one of those reds outa the sky too... but look where Euk is the rest of the time - he's doing very well! The yellows, blues - even a green! Very good!

OK, it's +9.5 and he's down to 214, not sure what to make of this lower number this late. He's eating now so I expect the number to go up, but I don't know why the response to insulin today has been so mild and slow. I'm starting to wonder if my shooting technique and/or injection site choice are making the difference, what might I be missing?

You can certainly vary the injection site to see if that makes a difference. He has a late nadir some cycles but not others. In general, you are getting good numbers except for that 400 every so often. Not sure if those are a bounce.
