Good morning! ~O)

After Euk's drop the other night, I was bracing myself for a day of very high readings. Yes, in the morning he was in the 400s, but then he had a great midcycle and the PMPS wasn't as high as it would be, so I shot a 0.8 instead of a full 1 unit. At +3, it was in the 400s for which I was grateful as I desperately needed some sleep and I didn't want to worry with another drop. I attributed the higher reading to a combination of eating and rebound. So, it's morning, and his +11 reading is a cool 287. So I think that I can safely ignore the higher readings and use that +11 as my AMPS reading. I work early today so I won't be home around +6, then I have to go back out again, so I'll also give 0.8. I think Mr. P is waking up...

Great news HB. Glad you can keep an eye on him too. If Mr P is visiting here and there, it’s sometimes surprising

Well, it seems that Mr. P is definitely paying us a visit. I rushed home for a +5 reading and he is at 133, again is almost too good as I don't know if he'll keep dropping, how much and for how long. I'll be here until +7 so I'll be able to monitor, in the meantime, I'll make sure he eats...

+6 reading is holding steady at 137, just slightly up from 133 1 hour ago. He is sleeping peacefully and barely noticed the ear poke, this is his nap time and he doesn't appreciate all this poking and prodding. I'll be here 1 more hour, before I go I'll make sure that he gets tested and eats before going out of the door.
One weird coincidence I noticed, when he first got diagnosed, he was treated with insulin from January to March of 2010 and went into remission, his last dose was March 18 2010, and had a beautiful 2 year remission. It seems like he is headed that way again. OK, I know that's not necessarily true, but it seems odd that he's behaving the same way this time of the year. And, last year, his glucose was normal but he got a mystery illness with lots of weight loss for no apparent cause, it was also around March and I truly thought he was going to die, only to recover unexpectedly and had a great year after that, until now. It looks like January through March are illness prone for some reason, but I can't think of a seasonal reason he would get sick at the same time of the year for 3 years in a row.
