my Vet gave this to me when in early July when she had an upper respirtory going on. By the time I obtained it she was pretty much over the worst of it so I really didn't use it plus I saw it had Sorbitol in it...and though they said it was fine for her...I erred on the side of caution.

It appears she is starting to snuffle again. so..I am here to ask again...is it ok to give to her?

Here are the ingredients: Ingredients: Purified water, L-Lysine HCI, sorbitol, cod liver oil, xanthan gum, tuna flavor, soya lecithin, silica aerogel, caramel color, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.

Plain, powdered l-lysine may be mixed into the food too.

My cats liked the Vetri-lysine chews.

Izzy doesn't like chews...directly proportionate to her lack of many, many teeth I think. She doesn't like the Enysil either..but it's like hairball remedy so she doesn't have a choice. Wonder if the powder is flavored...if so, her royal highness will boycott food.

L-lysine has minimal taste.

In humans, it may help reduce outbreaks of cold sores and other members of the herpes family.

My civvie didn't care for the paste. I bought the L Lysine capsules and I just open it up and sprinkle the powder with his wet food. He eats it right up. I'll buy the powder the next time.
