Newbie here- Why isnt Zacks BG coming down after 24 hr.? HI for 24 hr after it was in the 100s just the other day. He does also have lymphoma. Maybe the last shot or two didnt get in? Dare I give him next shot (in the flank instead of neck?)a couple hours early ? Thx asap. See also zacks spreadsheet

He is bouncing, it can take up to 6 cycles to come back down. Nothing to do but be patient. And no, do not give a shot early - with Basaglar consistency is key.

With a bounce, your cat's liver and pancreas release a stored form of glucose along with counterregulatory hormones. It can take roughly 3 days for the hormonal contribution to go back to baseline. Without question, bounces are frustrating for us but not dangerous.
