My fiance works at an auction that handles cars, specifically those that are insurance claims. When they find stuff in the cars they hold it for a certain time period and if no one claims it, then it's usually kept and sold by the company. However this time they found a nice blood glucose testing meter strips and lancets. Since that's something they can't sell, my fiance took it home. I tried it, and like it. Strips are about what I pay for the Relion Prime. Compaired to the relion it's a little higher by like between 6-10 steps. I would get 85 on the Relion and like 93 on the Embrace. Just wanted to know if anyone uses that one, and if it's one that's accurate or not?

Btw, I've been testing Lucky every day since the 102 reading and it's been normal. I plan to test once a day until after two weeks. Then go back to the every two days that I was doing.

85 and 93 are well with the error band of meters. The error band is +/- 20%.
Is it the talking meter with the big screen/display numbers? I used one of those in the past and was satisfied with it.

Yes it is the talking one. I really like the fact that the strips use a tiny amount of blood. The relion takes a small amount but a bigger amount. I also liked the lancet that came with it. I don't have to use the heated rice sock like I've had to because the small amount of blood I get is good enough :) So if it's pretty accurate, I might just keep the relion as a back up meter and use the Embrace every day.

I do like it, So I think it's the one I'll use. The only down side is that there are 4 readings on there that are not hers. And I can find no way to reset all the info and start clean. Other than that it's great!

Per the manual, y can't delete individual reading. yo can only erase the entire meter by taking the batteries out for a while.
