elvis and new food...

i found EVO dry food at a local pet shop and gave elvis 1/2 cup at 5...i forgot check before eating so the bg was higher 530...just checked 8:40 and bg was 280 still only giving 2 units...we wanted to try dry food because he is so hungary and wakes us up at 4 am...i was leaving some wet food out (about 1/4 of the can ) during the nite but i dont know if he is eating it or halle..i read the EVO is very low in carbs ...
i have 6 test strips unitl i get paid...

yes - EVO dry is 8% carbs

I had dry food addicts, so I did a very slow transition over several months. (changing all my cats to canned)

Fortunately, my diabetics are always first in the chow line, so I don't have to worry about them not getting the food -- I do leave canned food out all day and night. (hubby and I both have allergies, so air conditioning is on from April to October)
