The electricity went out for about 6 hours. The fridge went up to 60 degrees. Is my PZI still good? Could it make weaker?

I wouldn't worry about it at all - once I left out my vial of Prozinc overnight on a hot summer night - my vet called the Prozinc rep and she assured us the insulin was stable at room temperature for days and days - but you might call your vet to inform them and maybe they can call the rep - or the company but truly - not to worry

I took a curve today and the readings were about 200 higher than normal. Does the insulin usually ship refrigerated?

Blah....that page was useless. It's insulin? Really? It can cause hypoglycemia, really?

Anyways, I noticed tonight that the insulin seperated and there was a clear coat on top and cloudiness on the bottom. It has not been like that since I first bought it...over a month ago, where I had to stir it up. I wonder if the temp change caused that.

Do you roll it gently before you give it? Is it still separated after that?

Might call the vet and ask them about it. Or if you think it's become ineffective, you can get a different vial.

Provincial is a suspension and it separates out You must roll it gently between your two hands for about 20 seconds before each use to get it back into suspension
