Fern seems to be either or.

When I give him 2.6U he seems to have higher numbers than I want on a consistent basis.

When I give him 2.8u in the morning his evening number is lower than the vet wants me to shoot (vet says no go under 250 which I ignore) but it appears 2u with a 200-250 number is Ok.

Neither of these situations seem to be a great plan to me but which is the lesser of 2 evils.

Jane, it looks to me like he might be dropping low enough at night to cause a bounce for the amps? I wonder if you'd cut back the dose in the pm a smidge, if he'd not bounce. Maybe 1.5/1.75 for those yellow pmps.

I agree with you. You test enough that insulin at 180/200 is safe

He is looking okay. Just some fine tuning needed...

I think I'll maybe work back by .2 for a low yellow. I was kind of surprised with the green last night it seems like before I was catching a late nadir and the number would continue to rise on the lower dose with the dose keeping it in check.
