Eating at night

If you can't give hard food, what do you leave out overnight that won't dry out and become gross?
Many people use an autofeeder and do something like straight from the can in the first slot, ice cube over food in the second and frozen "puck" of wet food in the third.

I put out wet food just before I go to bed and add a little water to it. In the morning, it is mostly gone, so I would say it is working okay. :cat:

I use the petsafe auto feeder and leave some wet food in the open compartment and some scheduled for 2:00AM to open. There is a small space inside for an ice pack but I place a larger ice pack on top of the feeder after I close it. The food is gone by 6:00AM, so it seems to be working fine for Leo. The frozen cube of food seems like it would be a very good idea. I always add water to any food I leave out. I don't think Leo thinks any of it is gross by 2:00AM, as noticed by the empty compartment by morning.

This is what I have started doing also and my cat doesn't seem to have an issue. I also do this when I leave in the morning. I don't know if he is smart enough to save it of if he just eats it all at once, but it's gone when I get home.

I bring a bit of dry to bed with me as well as a small dish of wet when Dweezil and I go to bed. He generally gobbles most of the wet food before we're in bed and any that's left, he won't go back to later as it's dry and boring by then. :)

I use catfoodsicles :). Freeze portions of wet food with some water to help it freeze better. Put one or two (depending on sizes of foodsicles) and they thaw out later for him to eat .

KitKat's markings are so neat! Especially, the mint swirl on his chin! :woot::cat:

Thanks; you've got a cutie yourself!
