Ear Infection-Question

Good Morning,
He seems to really like the pink!!! I suspect there MIGHT be a little ear infection. Going to try to see Vet this weekend. What I would like advice on is a antibiotic to ask for and ear drops if needed. I have no clue!!!! So PLEASE any suggestions would be great.!!

The ear meds depend upon the cause of the infection. The usual causes are bacteria and/or yeast. Be aware that many of the eat meds such as Animax, Otomax and tresaderm contain steroids. Steroid ear meds skyrocketed my Twige's BGs.

Depending on what is going on, you may be able to treat with simple ear cleaner or an oral antibiotic. Personally, I would be leery of the drugs Larry mentioned as they contain steroids and can definitely impact the BGs.
