? Ear infection question

So my cat has a double ear infection . My vet gave him 1ml of Claro Otic Solution and also flushed and cleaned his ears.

His one ear is still really bothering him. Hes scratching and itching them non stop. ( 10 days later)

I have Zymox Otic Plus at home . Should I start using that ?

That Zymox product is simply a topical anti-itch med. It contains hydrocortisone, which could help relieve the itching. Similar to a hydrocortisone product you would use for yourself, if you had a skin rash. In the ear use only for that Zymox product.

You do need to find out from your vet if the original reason for the double ear infection is gone. That may require another vet visit.

The Claro Otic solution contains an antibacterial, an anti-fungal, and a steroidal anti-inflammatory. Your cat Smokey may need more of that specific medication.

Yes, the Zymox may help Smokey with the itching. It's worth trying.

Didn’t you say earlier it was a middle ear infection?
That would need an antibiotic.
Did you end up going back to the vet?
